Each week Joel will take an in-depth look at the events, people and places critical to the War for Independence.\nMonday, July 13th The Road to Revolution (1753-1776)\nFrom the Age of Antiquity and the first democracies to the Age of Sail and Christopher Columbus.  Includes the colonizing of America, the French and Indian War and George Washington, to the taxes, the protests, the violence, and the call to arms.\nMonday, July 20th The Revolutionary War (1775-1783)\nFrom the second Continental Congress and The Declaration of Independence to the people and events including Paul Revere’s Ride, Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, Washington Crossing the Delaware, New Jersey.\nMonday, July 27th After The Revolutionary War (1783-1815)\nEstablishing our country with a new constitution and first President, George Washington.  From the American Revolution to the French Revolution to the War of 1812.\nAbout Joel Farkas:\nJoel Farkas was an United States Army Officer and retired National Park Service volunteer at Washington’s Headquarters.  He is the recipient of the National Park Service Centennial Volunteer Challenge Award and has served as an enrichment lecturer for American Cruise Lines.
