SUMMARY:Arts in the Atrium: From Many to One, A New Tribe
DESCRIPTION:Hosted in partnership with Morris Arts, Arts in the Atrium, and Mayo Performing Arts Center, the Morris Museum will present the Juneteenth Arts Celebration: Night at The Morris Museum on June 18. Beginning at 6:00 PM, the evening will feature a celebratory program that includes a special curator-led tour of works on view throughout the museum’s indoor and outdoor spaces, There will also be an engaging educational presentation of “Our Revolution” by Living Voices, which follows the story of a young free Black colonist fighting in the American Revolution. This moving live performance highlights the complexities of liberty and nationhood—through a voice too often left out of the founding story.\n
