Morris County is often called the Crossroads of the Revolution, with more Revolutionary War battles and encampments that arose in New Jersey than any other colony — and Morris County hosted many of the central figures from that era and has preserved numerous historic sites where key events unfolded. It will all be the focus of celebratory events throughout 2025 and 2026.
We invite you to discover and celebrate the extraordinary contributions of Morris County to the American Revolution, a legacy that helped create the United States.
Morris County is home to Morristown National Historic Park, the nation’s first National Historic Park, where George Washington and his Continental Army wintered twice. Morris County’s historical impact extends far beyond the Revolution, offering a diverse array of sites like Historic Speedwell, where the telegraph was born, and the remarkable Morris Canal. Strategically located between New York, Philadelphia, and Boston, Morris County occupies a pivotal position, making it easily accessible for both regional and national visitors seeking historical and cultural experiences.

Inspired by Revolutionary-era brewing traditions, the beer features spruce tips and molasses, with rich pine notes and subtle sweetness. To deepen the historic connection, it was aged for nearly a year in apple brandy barrels from Laird & Company, creating a warm, complex flavor with hints of apple and spice.

Inspired by Revolutionary-era Philadelphia, Robert Hare’s Porter recreates a beer once enjoyed by George Washington, Ben Franklin, and John Adams. To bring this historic porter to life, Fort Nonsense Brewing Co. used locally sourced grain from Rabbit Hill in Shiloh, NJ, and hand-roasted it to achieve the deep color and rich character true to the style.
Expect aromas of roasted barley and chocolate, a smooth malt-forward body, and a subtly sweet cocoa note that finishes long and roasty.
📍 Available on tap only at FNBC’s Randolph taproom
Served exclusively via cask and traditional beer engine
No growlers, crowlers, or takeaway
Step back in time, sip some history, and enjoy a pint the old-fashioned way.
