Parsippany Live Declaration of Independence Reading

Join us for a historic celebration of America’s 250th!
The Parsippany Historical and Preservation Society, the Parsippany Historic Preservation Advisory Committee, and the Parsippany Presbyterian Church invite the community to a public reading of the Declaration of Independence.

This event is part of the nationwide Semiquincentennial (250th) commemorations, honoring the very first public readings of our nation’s founding document.

• Where: The steps of the Presbyterian Church Address: 1675 US-46, Parsippany, NJ 07054 (located in the heart of historic Parsippany Village).
• When: July 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM EDT.

We are looking for a broad range of Parsippany residents to participate by reading a portion of the Declaration.
