The Life & Times of the Continental Soldier at the Mendham Township Library

On Tuesday, August 4th at 7pm, join military historian, John Dwyer as he presents The Life & Times of the Continental Solider at the Mendham Township Library.
Join John Dwyer as he explores life as a solider during the Revolutionary War. He will showcase the uniform, weapons, tools, and gear used and carried by the soldiers of the American. John will portray a soldier serving in the Continental

Army as he discusses their life and experiences during the 1780 winter encampment. Dressed in uniform, John tells the soldier’s stories about his life, his pay, his food, his clothing and the campaigns he participated. He also explains his gear, weapons, and belongings in detail as he passes them around
the audience to handle.

About John Dwyer:

John is a retired United States Army Colonel with more than 37 years of service. He is a Jersey native and currently makes his home in Clinton Township, NJ. He is a military historian with extensive collections of soldier gear and equipment from both the Revolutionary War period as well as World War Two. He also collects and displays WW2 Army Jeeps.
