Women’s Role in the American Revolution by Patricia Sanftner
A PRESENTATION BT PATRICIA SANFTNER, HISTORIAN AND CURATOR OF TWO DAUGHTER OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION MUSEUMS
The Hanover Heritage Association cordially invites you to a special presentation exploring the often-overlooked yet critical contributions of women during the American Revolution, just in time for Women’s History Month!
Their diverse and essential roles, frequently absent from traditional historical narratives, were foundational to the success of the independence movement.
We are excited to announce the lecturer, Patricia Sanftner of the Morristown chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution chapter.
Here is a brief bio:
“With her Masters in Arts from NYU, Pat had a 35 year career in film, television and theatre as a costumer. Her credits include The Sopranos, and One Life to Live. She spent the last 15 of those years combining that with her role as a college professor teaching the next generation. After retirement, her love of history and family led her to the DAR where she’s been a chapter Regent, Historian of the state twice, National Vice Chairman, and curator of two DAR museums simultaneously for more than a decade. She is a trustee of the Washington Association of New Jersey, and on her Towne’s Historic Preservation Committee.”
