Come Build Morristown: Family LEGO® Workshop
About Our Program
Let’s “Build Morristown” using 100,000 LEGO® Building Blocks!
Hosted by Building Blocks Workshops in partnership with the Morris County 250th Steering Committee
Would you like to learn more about The Architectural Heritage of Morristown? You may drive by historic, civic, or religious buildings every day—but after participating in this hands-on LEGO® workshop on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (doors open at 12:30 pm – please arrive early), you might see those familiar landmarks in a whole new way. You may even discover a building you never noticed before and be inspired to visit it in person.
This two-hour program welcomes 50 teams to build LEGO® models of real buildings in Morristown. Each team may consist of up to four people—families, friends, or groups of adults are all encouraged to work together. By the end of the session, each team will complete their model. Then, a giant 16-foot x 20-foot map of Morristown will be unrolled, and all models will be placed in their real-world locations, creating an extraordinary 3D aerial view of the town.
This energetic, educational, and family-friendly experience invites participants to explore Morristown’s architecture, history, and community spirit—brick by brick.
Registration is required and limited to the first 50 teams, with a waiting list available.
